The bad news? Vanderbilt (18-7, 5-3 SEC) lost to Southeast Missouri 12-8 Tuesday night at Hawkins Field.The good news? Junior Pedro Alvarez returned to the lineup, going 1-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. The All-American third baseman had missed 23 games after breaking a bone in his hand in the season opener against Arizona State.
The Commodores play at Middle Tennessee Wednesday at 6 p.m. and travel to Ole Miss this weekend for a three-game series.
